Fast Company today announced its annual ranking of the world’s 50 Most Innovative Companies for 2018, honouring leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in business and innovation, and we are thrilled to be part of their ranking for the category Africa.

Fast Company is a world renown business media platform and widely considered the leading source of information on innovation in technology, ethical economics, leadership, and design. The Most Innovative Companies list is created by more than three dozen Fast Company editors, reporters, and contributors surveyed thousands of companies.

Gautam Shah, founder of Internet of Elephants, about the honour: "What I like about this recognition is that it is a list of 'companies that matter most' - we're not completely there yet, but its nice to know people recognise the potential."

The top ten companies on this year’s list are: (1.) Apple, (2.) Netflix, (3.) Square, (4.) Tencent, (5.) Amazon, (6.) Patagonia, (7.) CVS, (8.) Washington Post Company, (9.) Spotify, and (10.) NBA. Fellow honourees in the category Africa are BRCK, Zoona and M-Kopa Solar, amongst others.

Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies issue (March-April 2018) is now available online.
